Requirements
Your Crate Must:
1)
Be
built to withstand the normal hazards
of shipping, valuation claims my not
be valid if not. Shipments moving
outside the US are also subject to
exporting laws governing the material
from which the crates are made.
2) Allow your package to be
moved using
a fork lift or pallet jack.
3) Secure your freight properly
inside. Even after you have constructed
a solid crate, you must make sure
that the product inside is fastened
down in a way that won't allow it
to come loose during transport.
4) Be completely enclosed.
The covering should protect the crates
contents and may be made of wood,
steel, or similar sturdy construction.
If shipping internationally, the crate
must be certified for transport.
5)
Not
be leaking any fluids.
6) Be marked on the outside
with the final delivery address or
any other required information.
If
Your Shipment includes an Internal
Combustion Engine:
1)
Fuel
must
be
drained completely.
2)
The
battery must be securely fastened
in the battery holder of the vehicle,
and be protected in such a manner
as to prevent damage and short circuits.
Completely disconnect the battery
if possible
